WELL......a funny thing happened when I cast on for this sock!! You know when you have a pattern that says cast on.....oh.....say..... 56 (62) (72)?
Apparently, when I cast on I glanced at the largest size sock to cast on for rather than the smallest size! UGH!! Needless to say I knew it wouldn't fit.......and now I have THIS!!!

NOW I have to start all over! I figured out what I did when I went to make the heel flap and discovered all the "extra" stitches! (Wish I had been bright enough to catch on earlier....but NO.....even with the occasional stop to be sure I had the correct number of stitches on my needles did it dawn on me that it was the WRONG SIZE SOCK!!!Waaaaa, Waaaaa, Waaaaa!!! What I get for being in my usual rush to get things done!!
Oh Well.......at least I know what my "next" project is going to be! LOL!!!! Why....yes.....it will be a SMALL sock thank you very much!!!

The adventures in sock knitting never end. I can't count the times my socks have ended up in the frog pond. Sometimes, I just decided they didn't look just right. Sometimes, I took total leave of my senses and did something crazy like screw up the pattern.
I feel your pain, but hey, practice makes perfect! Or something like that. :)

You have my sympathy, but I never swatch for socks, just cast on and start. If it don't fit, rip!

Eep! Hope that mass of frogged yarn was tame for you and rolled back up nicely! I usually have problems the other way, too small of cast-ons! Good luck!
I just did the same thing. I ripped out my Jaywalker sock and started it again.
Oh but thats the prettiest pile of frogged knitting! So colorful! You know I hope you don't have any troubled winding that back up! I hate tangles. I usually roll mine around a coke bottle or something as I frog it so it doesn't get tangled. YES I do frog LOTS! LOL!
