Bella Kitty

We adopted Bella from the Humane Society through PetSmart (a great company!!)....Petsmart accepts animals from the various Humane Societies and will foster them until they are adopted, without charge to the people that adopt the pets!

As best as the vet can determine, Bella is approximately 1 year old. She had an injury roughly 4 months ago that resulted in her back leg being broken. Without the care of a vet the leg healed badly and Bella has a pronounced limp, with atrophy of the hip muscles.

Bella had been at Petsmart for over a month, unlike most who are adopted within days. She has the sweetest personality....but looked so sad, as if she had given up and was resigned to the fact that she would be forever passed over......she was so incredibly loving when removed from the cage, not wanting to run around like the other cats, rather immediately choosing to rub furiously on DH legs as if to mark him as hers.....which sealed the deal for us!!!!

As you can see she is fitting in rather nicely.....she already appreciates the finer points of cooking. (And yes mother, I wiped down the stove!) LOL!!

She is really good to help out with the laundry.

Of course all that housework calls for a nap in the sunshine!!
She has discovered my knitting basket...

She seems to truly enjoy a good "yarn" too! LOL!!

And has had no trouble calling it a day!!!

I couldn't ask for a sweeter kitty!!!

Despite her disability she gets around fine. She will have to remain an indoor cat....which is fine with us!!!

She's just gorgeous! I'm very partial to calicos, that being the first cat I clearly remember having as mine (I was about 7 when I got that one who was so cleverly named "Calico"). Two of my three girls are adopted from Petsmart as well and the other I got from my sister.

Oh, she is absolutely adorable! What a sweet face!

Isn't it amazing when cats claim you? We have one who is afraid of people, but who immediately demanded attention for himself and his (more outgoing) sister when we walked into the cat rescue, much to the surprise of the workers.

What a darling cat! Looks like you'll have a lot of "help" while you are knitting.

Awww! William Henry helps with the dishes the same way! Our adoption day is at PetSmart too! Isn't it great of them to do that?

Syd and I do have a webcam, but heaven forbid her letting me put a webcam in the ferrets room. I cant even get her to get on cam with me when friends want to see her.

Your new baby is nice, and Clyde is fiting in great!

Very cute cat! I miss having a cat, although my gerbils, Itchy and Scratchy are pretty cute, they just aren't as cuddly as a cat.

What a sweetie! Oh, I'm glad it's not only my cat who gets "tucked in"--- Pumpkin will cry if I don't build her a "nest" and put her in it before we turn off the lights... yeah, spoil them rotten!
PS- bf socks look great!
