Ode 'To Peeps and A Bloomin Sock!!

Ode To Peeps

Oh, how I love your smooshy, gooshy goodness.
How you glisten, all lined up in a row!

In perfect attention....just waiting....
for me to bite your little heads off before devouring your smooshy, gooshy little bodies!

(What could be better than your mom sending you home from a day of visiting with a THREE pack of PEEPS!!!!) Ahhhh........

AND.....ONE BLOOMIN SOCK IS COMPLETED!! Well....I am having a bit of difficulty with getting the toe finished....I seem to have a tiny bump on one end......I have left a long tail of yarn attached and will work on getting this issue resolved. Worse comes to worse, I'll tink the Kitchner and close the toe with a drawstring toe.....but I like the look and feel of the kitchner toe.

I tried Peeps for the first time last year. Yuck. You know what, though? It is fun to make s'mores with them. They swell up really good in the microwave. Graham crackers and a Hershey bar make them more palatable to DH and me.

Yes, I noticed at the store the other day, that the Peeps season had arrived. :) I like your sock!

PEEPS!! I like the pink bunnies, slightly stale.

When i get "ears" on my socks, I just tack them down with the yarn taill - can't tell a thing. They look great by the way! :D

(It's Emily - I don't know why it won't let me put my name in the comments today)

Marshmellow isn't my fav either - good to know that it means more for you and Emily!
And the little ear bumps on the sock, mine get that too sometimes. They don't usually show when it's on my foot tho. I like the kitchner much better for the way it fits too.

It sure looks purdy! Did you do the new Roza's sock pattern from IK

I love peeps. There are items like peeps that are just part of a family's history -- like always having pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving -- we always have peeps for Easter.

I'll have to find that picture of the peeps dress someone sent me last easter along with their version of ode to peeps :)

Congratulations on finishing the first bloomin' sock!

Your sock is beautiful! What great colors. I have to join the others in the "Not a peeps fan"! Every year my mom gets them for me, every year I throw them away. I'll send them to this year!

It takes so little to excite you.
Enjoy!

I'm not a huge fan of Peeps, but I use the same 'line em up and bite their heads off' technique with the Cadbury Caramilk Bunnies. It's the "humane" way to eat them, I think. :)

Thanks for your get well wishes!
