Some Day We Will Spin My Darling!!!

Drumroll please.........

After 2 months of sitting in pieces in the basement I bring you......

Ta Daaaa!!!!!!!

Isn't it purdy????? I know he was cheap, not as high class as the ones I have lusted over....but he's mine and I LUV him!!!!!

Look at that wheel, those pedals, those gleaming brass hooks, that beautiful squooshy yarn.....

WHAT??? What do you mean "what yarn"???

O.K, so we haven't exactly gotten to "first base" yet!!! BUT.....we are working on it.....seems as though I am a bit nervous...having issues getting the "tension" just right.

I have spun some....Stuff.....just not sure that it qualifies as yarn......as in ANY kind of yarn....or Hey.....maybe I just invented a NEW kind of yarn!!!! LOL!!!

I have a book, I do NOT like to read instructions (I don't even like to read those informative little tutorials found oh so conveniently on the computer.........ask my mother....I have a problem I call her)!!!

I have had such good offers of advice from Jessi and Elizabeth so I'll put their advice to good use and I know I will get it .......just like anything else in life....practice makes perfect!!

SO......until further notice....and until the "tension" clears just gaze upon the empty bobbin and dream along with me of beautiful yarn!!!!!

A Chance Meeting

I was at the LYS to pick up some yarn and noticed a cute girl (gathering a nice stash of fibery goodness and knitting related goodies if I do say so myself)! For some reason she looked familiar to me. I just "knew" that I knew her from somewhere....and I just had to ask if we had met.

Come to find out I don't know her at all but I have seen her blog in the past!!! (Her blog was one that I found and then lost when I had a computer crash)!
Is her button not the cutest you have seen? Head over to Alabama Fiber Dreams and be sure to check out her Etsy shop.....this girl not only knits...but she spins, dyes, sells yarn, stitch makers galore.....oh and she is a stay at home Mom.......Can we say superwoman here???? (Oh...I'm not worthy)!

I hope to meet up with Jessi at some point in the future and hopefully have some time to knit and or spin together!! It's always a treat to find another Alabama Blogger!!

KIWI update and Kitty Casserole

FINALLY some news on the KIWI!!

DH and I finally had time last night to work on the wheel......pretty much have it all together except for the wheel and the mechanism that attaches to the treadles.

Hope to finish the project Friday night!!! YIPPEE!!!!!!!

AND....Kitty Casserole Anyone?????

I don't advocate Bella on the kitchen countertops.....and she doesn't show any interest at all thank goodness other than a couple of times she has jumped in the window behind the sink.

BUT....I was putting dishes away the other night, turned around and there was Bella, just as pretty as you please all snuggled in the casserole dish!!!!

She is incredibly cold natured and likes to lie in front of the oven when I am cooking....I guess she was hoping to get warmed up a bit!!! LOL!!

Socks and Rag Tag Update!!!

UPDATE: Pkg. was mailed to Colorado on Monday morning....Rapid Rag Relayers are SOOOOOO going to win first place!!!

Sock Update:

I am about half way finished with the mate to this little fella. I am SOOO ready for Fall and the colors of this Lorna's Laces yarn are so pretty....although my camera doesn't show the colors to their best advantage!!

I have got to finish the second sock so I can start on this:

My very first pattern sock!!! The above sock is about as "patterned" as I have achieved to this point. It is especially exciting because this pattern was written for the Ruby Sapphire sock club by Emily!!

Emily is the very first knitting blog I found and she has got to be the nicest person there is!!! So talented not only in knitting but in so many other areas!!

I can't WAIT to get started and hope I can do the pattern and the gorgeous yarn justice!!! This sock yarn has tencel in it which I have never worked with....but it sure is SOFT....like Buttah!!!!!!!

Rag Tag UPDATE....AND....Bloggers Are The Best!!

I DID receive the Rag Tag Box Today.....YIPPEE!!! More about that below.

BUT First: I had the wonderful pleasure of getting to meet one of my blog buddies and her friend at an Alpaca breeder meeting held in Birmingham!! It was a short visit but how awesome it was for me to finally meet Elizabeth with the added bonus of meeting her friend Ginny!! Just an instant connection to them both.....like running into an old friend......talking a mile a minute trying to play "catch up" on everything!!! LOL!!!

Both ladies went to the SAFF last year and gave me so much good information and answered a lot of questions I had....not to mention sharing lots of good info on using a drop spindle and spinning wheel!! (Oh....I am SOOOO going to the basement after I finish this and get that last coat of polyurethane on my wheel)!!! I seem to have acquired a "spinning fever" this morning!!! LOL!!!

We plan to meet up again in the near future and hope to have more time before we all go to SAFF....which I'm not sure what I am most excited about.....the SAFF itself or spending time with friends!!!!

I ALSO got to meet Karen with the Birmingham Spinning Guild....what can I say.....just another wonderful woman that I felt an instant comfort level with!! I am DEFINITELY going to be seeing her again and hopefully soon at one of the Guild Meetings!!! Karen gave me a lot of good information on spinning wheels....of which she states I will have several rather than just one!! LOL!!

What a fun morning!!!!!!!!!!

Now to the Rag Tag Update:

It's HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could NOT believe my eyes when I opened the box....Helen....I guess great minds must think alike because this is the VERY same pattern I had planned to use!!! LOL!!!! Love the color choices!! It is still in the 100+ degree days here and the pink/brown yarn reminds me of Neopolitan ice-cream that my grandmother would have in her freezer....and the blue is like the ocean!!!

Hmmm...since today is Saturday and I have until Monday to get the pkg. mailed I will have to think about which I want to use and which one I want to add to my stash!!

A BIG thanks to Helen for such a GREAT package!!! I N.E.E.D.E.D. the needle/ruler!!!

RAG TAG UPDATE!!!

I would like to direct you to the sidebar where my "mood" is displayed.

Why you ask???

BECAUSE MY RAG TAG RELAY BOX WASN'T DELIVERED TODAY!!!!!! Waaa! Waaa! Waaa!

I WANT my Rag Tag Relay Box!!!!!!

Hmmmm.....surely the delay isn't due to bad Karma....from me "ragging" others that my team is going to win and they are going to LOSE????? What can I say??? I just love good competition!!!

O.K. Thinking only good, happy thoughts now!!!!!

I've Been TAGGED!!!!

I've checked and checked and just like a little kid on Christmas Eve the anticipation has mounted to a frenzy!!!
THEN............I was tagged to receive the coveted Rapid Rag Relayer's team member box......but.......NO BOX!!!! UGH!!!! I am dying to check that little box that says I have received the box....but NO BOX!!! I hope you aren't lost!!!
Have you seen the prizes Emily as up for the winners???? I SOOO want to win....or at least place....is it possible to win first, second AND third prize???? They are all such GREAT prizes!!
Big thanks go out to Emily for putting together such a fun way to pass the hot days of August!!!
When it is 104 to 105 degrees there just isn't much to get excited about.....but the Dish Rag Tag has been fun....checking out all the teams to see how everyone is progressing, taunting my friends (who are all assigned to different teams)......as to who will win! There have been several "nana nana boo boo's" floating around.......such fun for adults to be reduced to child like behavior!!!! LOL!!!!!!

FO's, UFO's and a Rag Tag Update

A Bit of Knitting Going On!!!!

First up: Garter Rib Stitch socks, size 1 needles, Yarn: Life Style .

Hmmm...notice anything different about one???

I RAN OUT OF YARN!!!! I measured and measured and still come out with the same length for each sock!! When I finished the first sock I had a T.A.D. of yarn left over but not on the second sock!!! I called the owner of the LYS (Knit N Stitch in Trussville, AL, if you are ever in this part of the state).....to see if she had any left over yarn as she had knit a pair of socks for the shop, but she had exactly enough for the socks that she knit. She did offer to knit a pair of child size socks and give me the left over yarn, which was incredibly nice!!

SECOND:

I call these my Pirates of the Caribbean....the blues remind me of the caribbean....with just a touch of black for the pirates!! LOL!!

This is the yarn that was gifted to me by Jane at Quiddity . Love Jane's blog and I LOVE this yarn!!!

Jitterbug by Collinette...this was my first time to knit with this yarn and it is running a close second to STR yarn in the way it feels while knitting with it.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST:

Sophie's Toes Yarn: Colorway Iris Garden....this is THE most beautiful mixture of colors...reminds me of a Monet painting!!!

You can find Sophie's Toe's on Etsy. I can't say ENOUGH about how sweet Emily is!! She always ships the next day after listing yarn! If you have time go through her archives for past colors. Be sure to sign up for email notification of when yarn is listed. I absolutely LOVE the fact that this yarn knits the SAME....NO pooling!!!!!!!

Is this not the most beautiful colors??????

RAG TAG UPDATE: Despite my hopes of receiving a pkg. on Saturday it just wasn't to be!! Last seen, the Rapid Rag Relayers box is in Indiana with Camilla. From AL to MN to IN and HOPEFULLY on it's way to ME!!! LOL!!! Check back for updates!!

Late Addition: The box is now in Kentucky!!!!!

Actual KNITTING Content!!

Despite my recent lack of posts......I HAVE been knitting!!

Exhibit A:

Lynette Sock Yarn from Ruby Sapphire.

AND............

Exhibit B:
Jitterbug by Colinette

This is the yarn that I received from my FANTABULOUS Hurricane Sock Swap Pal...Jane.

I used a size 2 needle (typically use a size 1) and without thinking cast on 64 (my norm).... they are a bit looser around the ankle than what I am used to but after trying them on several times I decided I like the slightly looser fit of the cuffs and decreased down to 56 for the foot to fit better on that part. This yarn is so soft and "squooshy"!!!!

I have also made about 4 or 5 "warshrags" in anticipation of the Dish Rag Tag that is due to start August 1st.

Still no work done on the spinning wheel. Staining is complete....just haven't had enough time to get involved in the process of getting a coat of polyurethene applied!!

Ruby Sapphire Sock Club!!!

What a GREAT Monday!!

I got the AC back up and running (after kindly handing over $400) UGH!!!

THEN....a trip to the mailbox on a Monday typically reveals bills but TODAY I got THIS!!!

The FIRST shipment for the Ruby Sapphire Sock Club!!! Woo Hoo!!!!

The yarn is REALLY purty!!!! My camera does not do the colors justice!!!

And check out the extra goodies!!! A cute sheep note pad...perfect for my purse and CUTE stitch markers.....a coupon to be used for a future yarn purchase AND....top that all off with candy!!!

Now THIS is what I call a GREAT first sock club package!!! LOVE all the little unexpected treasures!!!

All patterns are original designs too!!!!

Eye Candy Friday, YUCK and a BIG surprise!!!

What could be better than starting your day with a good cup of coffee......served up in a CUTE sheep mug from a dear friend!!??!!!

Bibby ran by yesterday for a knit visit and brought me this mug...

TOOO Cute!!!!!! Reminds me of all the girls in our knit group Chicks with Sticks!!!

A close up...aren't they ADORABLE?????

AND.....my personal favorite.....The BLACK SHEEP of the group!!! LOL!!!

A Friday YUCK!!

As DH was getting ready for work this morning, as is his usual routine, he turns on the water while brushing his teeth ......he turned away from the sink for just a minute and when he turned back found THIS!!!

He was....shall we say...."substantial" size....NO clue where he came from....but when the water came on....this fella came to the party!!!!!!!!!

Hmmmm......I'm thinking I may start turning on the light and checking things out when making those late night bathroom visits!!!! With my luck I would be the ONE in a MILLION that would make the ER staff's night by showing up with a scorpian bite on my derriere!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!

Now for the SURPRISE!!

Our sweetie Ginger and her ADORABLE husband surprised everyone last night by showing up at Knit Night with their new baby boy....born exactly two weeks ago last night!!!!!!! Just absolutely MADE my night!!!

This was our first time to get to see the baby!!!

I didn't have my camera with me but you can check out Ginger's blog for some pics of the Little Man!!!

Oh My....we were all so very, very tickled to see them ALL!!! Ginger's husband is just the GREATEST guy in the world....so attentive and you can tell he is such a good Daddy and so very proud of his baby boy!!

Ginger was absolutely GLOWING with love for the Little Man!!! He was dressed in a cute little plaid outfit.....very "little boy" looking!!!

Can't imagine any two better people to be parents!!!!

We can't WAIT till Ginger is able to come back to Knit Night.....I'm thinking there is going to be a lot of baby holding going on!!! LOL!!! He is so cute you just want to cuddle him up and just LOOK at him!!!!!!! So much so that I'm thinking we may need to bring a timer to insure everyone has equal time!!! LOL!!!

We Love you Ginger and can't WAIT to see you again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KIWI Update

Several have sent me emails asking about the progress of my Kiwi.

Unfortunately, there is no update. The wheel is still in pieces in the basement....I believe I need one more coat of stain on the wheel itself and then have to apply the polyurethene before assembling.

Life has been so hectic lately I simply have not had time to work on it.....UGH!!!!!!!!!!!

Eye Candy Friday...or...There's a New Rooster In the Hen House!!

I had HOPED to have a picture of the latest addition to Chicks with Sticks (the knitting group I am in).....but due to the lateness of the hour last night (and the exhaustion of the new mommy) I wasn't able to get any pics.

Did you guess? We have a NEW member of Chicks With Sticks.....although it may be a while before he can actually knit with us, we are all looking forward to the "Little Man" joining us for many, many Thursday night get togethers!!! (No doubt he will sleep well on Thursday nights after so much attention!!) LOL!!

Our dear friend Ginger gave birth to a precious little boy late yesterday, their first baby!!!

The ladies in our group had hoped to invade and all take turns starting the spoiling process of the Little Man but there is plenty of time and hope to have pics posted soon!!

Ginger.....we love you DEARLY!!!!!!!!!!

Just In!!!

Judging from the box, I would have to say my little friend has enjoyed his travels....from Washington State to Alabama!!!!

To save money, I ordered the wheel without a finish and had planned on placing a coat of polyurethene myself but I am now thinking that I may stain the wheel first. I do like the natural look, but after seeing a couple of stained wheels on blogs I'm thinking I may go with a stain.

I'll make a trip to Lowe's tomorrow and check out my choices.

Hopefully I'll have everything stained, poly-coated and assembled in the next few days!!

I'm Gonna Be Spinning.....SOON!!!!

I have been going NUTS wanting a spinning wheel.....I have never spun yarn but for some strange reason I have just not been able to let go of this!!! It has hounded me till I have finally given in.......I BOUGHT A SPINNING WHEEL!!! Oh...somebody pinch me so I'll know it's real!!!
I had a very small budget...did WAYYY too much research but finally decided that for the money, options and resale value the Ashford Kiwi would fit my requirements....all but in the looks department that is.
I would have LOVED to have a traditional style wheel. but I know for longevity (specifically my back)...I needed a wheel that would allow me to have the flyer situation directly in front of me, no twisting allowed thank you very much AND a wheel that would fit my VERY limited budget and apparently in the scheme of spinning wheels I have Champagne taste on a very cheap beer budget!! LOL!!
I made this purchase quite on impulse late last night from an Ashford dealer that sells on Ebay. He has a 100% customer satisfaction rating for several years so I felt confident that I would be treated fairly.
The gentleman selling the wheel could NOT have been nicer....he offered his toll free number with unlimited assistance. He specifically told me that he didn't care if it was 6 months from now that if I had any questions or concerns that I was to call him and that the only "stupid" questions were the ones NOT asked.....gee....wish I could get such wonderful service at other places!!!!!
He told me he has helped many new customers to get started spinning with his instruction via the phone or the internet. His main goal he said was to be sure his customers learn to spin and that they grow to love the craft as much as he does!! How could I go wrong??? Bob...I don't know ya...but I love ya.....You Da MAN!!!!!!!!!
I got the New Ashford Kiwi wheel with 2 year warranty
Ashford Niddy Noddy (not sure what this is all about but I guess I'll learn) LOL!!!
One Pound of Corriedale wool ready for spinning
Upgrade kit for spinning at higher speeds
Lazy Kate
AND Free Shipping!!
ALL for the retail price of the wheel!!!!!
Shipped out today and H.O.P.E. to have it delivered Friday!!!!!
Oh My GOODNESS!!!!!
Now...if I can only talk my DH into selling everything and moving to a sheep farm......Waaa! Haaa! Haaa! I'm Dreaming BIG time here!!!!!!!! Or is that Hallucinations from lack of sleep due to spinning wheel excitement??? LOL!!! Sorry all the text is running together on this post....for some reason Blogger doesn't like line breaks today!!

Eye Candy Friday!

Last Friday, I met Ginger at Bibby's house for the most WONDERFUL lunch!! Not only did we enjoy a FABULOUS home cooked meal but Ginger and I left with the most BEAUTIFUL Violet!!
Bibby's home is absolutely GORGEOUS, filled to the brim with the BEST antiques and collectibles. Check out Ginger's June 1st post to see a display of Bibby's collection of antique chicken theme egg cups!!

Also up for your Eye Candy Friday enjoyment:

We are experiencing a level three drought here, the trees are showing signs of distress as well...which is very sad to me because most of the trees around me are the mega old trees and I hate the thought of losing any of them.

But...the gardenia's are in FULL bloom!!!! The smell is INCREDIBLE!!!

It is overcast today and hope to get a bit of rain today!!!

Last but not least:

BLUE MOON EYE CANDY!!! YUMMY!!!

Hurricane Hits Trussville!!

Make that Hurricane Sock Swap Package Hit Trussville.....and OH MY GOSH!!!! I am simply overwhelmed!!! I do not know how to begin to adequately thank Jane for such an incredibly thoughtful, not to mention BOUNTIFUL gift!!!! Lot's of pics to follow:

SUCH a cute box!!! The tag reads:

Hurricane Sock Kit

I already have a use in mind for the box!!

LOVE this box!!!

Wrapped in THE MOST adorable ribbon with sheep running across it!!!

Upon lifting the lid.....I laughed.....one of those absolutely delightful laughs that bubble out when you are so excited you can't contain it!! JUST LOOK!!! It is like CHRISTMAS!!!!

EVERY pkg. was wrapped and had the cutest tags......what a PERFECT idea!!! What creativity!!

Each label was a different shape and color!!

HOW cute is THIS????

Hmmm...I'm thinking my sock pal needs to host a "single sock seeks mate" swap!! Just too cute!!!

A few more labels.

AND NOW.......UNWRAPPED and in all it's glory!!!

(click on pic to enlarge the goodiness)

OH MY.....the card is so cute with a little frog peaking out around the lily pad leaves....maybe a pic made by my sock pal?

Stitch markers that spell out KNIT...in their own little carry case!!

A gift for Max as well as Bella, how thoughtful is that!?! Some wonderful citrus soak which I have not used and can't WAIT to try!!

Oh Goodness...so much!!

Sheep stickers, sheep magnet, sheep notebook with pen...PERFECT size to keep in my knitting bag for jotting down my knitting notes!! A Lantern Moon sheep measuring tape....which I have been wanting 4-ever but just one of those things that I wouldn't pick up for myself!!!

OH.....I have been to Michaels, looked at every craft department around town looking for a sheep rubber stamp and have not found one ANYWHERE!!! I jumped....I'm telling you I squealed and jumped up and down!!!

The NICEST scissors.....now I know to some that might not be very exciting.....but there are some things that for whatever reason I just haven't bought.....my scissors in my knitting bag MAY have cost all of $1.00.....TERRIBLE scissors......yet I just never got a good pair....I am so very excited to have nice pair of scissors!!

Not one...but TWO bars of emergency chocolate....which I'm thinking before the weekend is over there will be some kind of emergency (we are doing yarn work today which pretty much insures an emergency of one kind or another!! LOL!!) which will require me to consume said emergency chocolate!! LOL!!! I have never had either of these chocolates and can't wait to give them a taste!!!!

TWO books on the Fiji Islands.....which would be my ultimate, if I could only take one fantastic vacation in my life.....it would be to the Fiji Islands!! One of the doctors that I worked for traveled extensively and the most wonderful trip he took was to the Fiji Islands....just listenting to all the stories he told left me with the incredible urge to one day go here......and you just never know......maybe one day I WILL make it...but until then I have two GREAT looking books to enjoy!!!!!

Oh my.....now to the Sock and the Yarn(s)....yes...that IS plural!!

The yarn in the lower left hand corner is Claudia's Hand Painted yarn, Purple Earth color...which I LOVE these colors!!!!! An ENTIRE skein of Claudia's as well as what looks to me to be enough yarn to make the mate to my sock.....(my sock pal was afraid that I might not have enough to complete the second sock and added a second skein just in case)!!! Incredibly thoughtful!!

A skein of Cider Moon, in Birch Bark!!! PERFECT colors to wear with all the browns and blacks I wear!!! Oh....I have read SO many blogs showing socks knit with Cider Moon, no one around here sells it and I am SOOO tickled to have a skein to knit!!!! AND if that wasn't more than a person could possibly want or deserve......a skein of Jitterbug sock yarn, Jay 85...the most wonderful blues.....reminds me of the many colors of the ocean!!! Oh.....let me tell you.....my DH was laughing at all the squealing and jumping up and down that was going on!! LOL!

And now for the sock!!!

This pic is a tad light....the colors don't show up....but Oh LAWZY.....does this sock fit PERFECT!!! Not only does it fit my big foot....but it FEELS wonderful!!

I have knit several pairs of socks and I always thought that they felt fine on.....but when I slipped this sock on it was like buttah.....like buttah I tell ya!!! It was like....well....like it was made just for my foot!! LOL!!! I am not sure if it is the yarn or the pattern or perhaps it is the talents of a "Master Knitter".....but this sock fits totally differently than socks that I have knit for myself!!!! I wasn't able to get a pic of the toe....but it looks machine made it is so perfect....and the heel.....this sock is absolute perfection.......I hope I can make a sock that is worthy of being worn with this beauty!!!

During all the squealing and jumping around Max was going nuts.....it finally hit me that he KNEW there was something there for him....which upon receiving his treat he ran to the door wanting in and promptly set about testing the squeak component......which indeed passed his "inspection".

I had to wait until Bella had
ahem...."killed" the mouse before I could get a picture.....I'm not sure how to make a video and post.....let's just say there was LOT'S of zipping around the porch with the mouse!!! She went NUTS when I pulled the string and watched it move on it's own!! LOL!!

AND NOW......let me introduce my Hurricane Sock Pal!!

JANE......of Quiddity!!!! I love Jane's blog title which means 'the essence of the thing'....which she states, 'This is the quality I strive to capture in all my creative endeavors'. Which I can honestly say that once you visit Jane's beautiful blog you will know that she has indeed achieved "Quiddity"!!! Not only does her blog contain great knitting posts....her knitting pictures show great detail which I love but can't quite seem to achieve with my camera. Jane obviously has many talents.....there are so many beautiful photos on her blog that are not knitting related!! Oh....and did I mention that she also spins???? Creative Goddess!!

Jane, I can not begin to thank you for such a thoughtful, wonderful package that you sent me!! The time that you put into this is not without note and I want you to know how much I appreciate all that you did!!

From your blog I gather what a creative woman that you are, not to mention a PHENOMENAL knitter.....the type that I hope to be some day....hopefully before I am too old to knit!! LOL!!!

Eye Candy Friday & Hurricane Sock Swap Update!!

Not the most beautiful picture I know....but I wanted to share this pic of Max.

Max LOVES to swim in the lake.....but he loves to float on his noodle even more!!

After swimming for a bit he will generally swim to HIS noodle, hook his front paws over the top and float around for as long as we stay in the water....the lifejacket and noodle keep him perfectly suspended!! Sometimes he'll kick off with his hind legs and go from person to person for a head pat (although he doesn't like his head to get wet as it is above).....but generally just likes to "hang out" on his noodle!! He has even been known to fall asleep and not wake up till his little face hits the water and he snorts in a big taste of the lake!! LOL!!!

ON THE STORM FRONT: My hurricane sock swap pkg. was mailed today......should "blow in" next Tuesday to my pal!! Hope she likes it!!! My pal has been "teasing" me and I can't WAIT to see who she is!!!]

WHAT FUN!!!!!!!!!!! A BIG thanks to Christy for letting me participate!!!

MONSOON!!

Finished!!!!

I was not impressed with the sock pattern that came with my first STR sock kit.

I may try the pattern at a later date, but I felt for me it was too complicated.

The pattern that I used for these socks is the Fluted Bannister sock pattern, yarn is Blue Moon Fiber Arts, Socks That Rock, colorway: Monsoon. This yarn is their medium weight yarn and is VERY thick!!

It REALLY bugs me that the yarn pools the way it does!! I love the way the yarn stripes but just don't know how to assure that both socks will stripe rather than pool.

Oh Well....ANOTHER Finished Project!!!

This is a pattern that I got from Lis...of Life's A Stitch

I'm not sure when Lis wrote the pattern but I have had it for quite some time.

I wasn't able to get the colors to show up as they truly are (the yellowish green is in fact a celery green) here is a color swatch from the internet .....but I LOVE the way the pattern creates a reversible pattern!! Knit with Arte by Needful Yarns, Colorway: # 402.

Lis is very sweet to share her pattern, all you need to do is send her an EM and she will send a copy......be sure to check out her sidebar for a gallery of pics of the Herringbone!!! Lot's of pretty variations!!! I will be making this scarf again most definitely!!!
